Carrie Carmichael

carrieCarrie was certified by AFAA in 2002 as a Personal Trainer and in 2008 as a Crossfit Level 1 Instructor. Carrie also holds mulitiple Crossfit speciality certs. In 2002 Carrie’s longtime coach, Bill Carle, encouraged her to begin working one-on-one with clients in her off time from the Police Department. It was not long before Carrie decided to changes careers completely. She actively sought to improve her scope of knowledge in the fitness field. Carrie obtained numerous subsequent certifications. Her coach a 25+ year Bodybuilder and Personal trainer taught her everything he knew as well. Carrie brings a lot to the table and she expects a lot in return from her clients. Carrie stated, “It is my goal to empower clients to make physical and lifestyle changes that enhance their personal, professional, and emotional lives.”

Stephen Hanchey

SAFD Probationary Firefighter

Master Fitness Trainer qualification from the U.S. ARMY

Stephen is certified through ISSA and holds a Master Fitness Trainer qualification from the U.S. ARMY. Stephen has secondary certifications from Crossfit including; Level One, Kettlebell, and Olympic lifting. Stephen’s personal training approach emphasizes functional movement, strength, and balance.

Stephen is an encouraging, energetic trainer who can be sensitive when the situtaion calls for it, but can also be very demanding. Stephen expects alot from his clients and he believes everyone can be a success story.  He has great insight as to each individual's motivational force and he uses that to push clients beyond what they thought they were capable of. He is professional, prudent, and always looking for progress in his clients and in himself. His experience belies his years. Stephen motivates and energizes his clients with  workouts that are constantly varried and always challenging. Stephen works with clients of all fitness levels and excels in large and small group training.

Eric Morin

Eric Morin is one of the newest additions to TBC Crossfit. Eric is a San Antonio Firefighter who recently earned his Crossfit Level 1 Certification.
Eric has been a part of TBC for a while as an avid Crossfitter!

Kim Brooks

A desire to remain strong and live a healthy and well balanced life led Kim to CrossFit in 2008. Kim stated that “In less than one year CrossFit had changed my life in more ways than I can count”. Encouraged by her own personal coach, Kim received her CrossFit Level 1 Instructor Certificate and began training others in San Diego, CA in 2009. Recently relocated to the San Antonio area, Kim’s first priority was locating a new CrossFit gym and family. “The warm welcome and expert training I received at TBC CrossFit told me I was home”. Kim’s background is in Education so teaching comes naturally and she is passionate about helping others discover the benefits, balance, and wellbeing that come from the CrossFit lifestyle. Kim also holds a CrossFit Nutrition Certificate and has been trained in Stott Pilates methodology.

 

   

Parkour

Jereme Sanders

Parkour Trainer

Bio_pic4Parkour is the physical discipline of training to overcome any obstacle within one's path by adapting one's movements to the environment. Jereme Sanders of American Parkour (APK) is the first practitioner, or "traceur", to begin training in Texas. He is a member of The Tribe, an international performance team, that travels all over the U.S. and the world to present the acrobatics, fluidity, and unique movements created by parkour. The Tribe is currently featured on the TV show Jump City.

Jereme is now offering parkour classes in partnership with TBC CrossFit. He uses his 7 yrs of practice, performances, and coaching to be an experienced, safe, dynamic instructor. Parkour is a discipline that teaches solid techniques supported by concepts about what natural movements the human body is capable of. Simply, parkour is for everyone.

Jereme teaches in such a way that students can see how the movements are shaped by and reflected in their own individual body types. Tall, short, athletic, average, or soft, each person's abilities shape the movements and learning the movements improves the person's abilities.
